Past Pro's 20 sites or 300 articles a month? Enterprise adds uncapped sites and volume, custom integrations, and custom CMS targets, agreed per contract.
Pick your size. Not your toolkit.
The same nine desks write every article on every plan. What changes as you grow is scale - articles, sites and seats - plus a few tools built for teams running at volume.

What exactly does Mastheads do?
+
Mastheads runs a complete editorial pipeline for your publication. It finds the topics worth covering in your niche, drafts each article in your voice with a real named byline, runs it through independent quality and fact-check gates, attaches an on-topic image, and publishes to your CMS on your schedule. You configure it once, and it ships while you sleep.
How does the free trial work?
+
Signup is free - no card required. Your 7-day trial includes 10 articles on one site with the full editorial toolkit, same trial for everyone. When the week ends (or your 10 articles are spent), your newsroom pauses until you pick a plan ($99 Starter, $249 Growth, or $599 Pro). Nothing is ever charged unless you choose one - trial overage is hard-capped, so there are no surprise charges. If you want more articles during the trial, you can buy one-time $3 article credits that never expire and carry into whichever paid plan you pick.
What if an article is wrong or broken?
+
You see the problem before you publish, because the article carries its own record. A paid-for draft is never thrown away: a problem the desks cannot fix is retried, and if it still stands the article ships with the shortfall written down rather than being quietly passed. The authenticity panel lists what each desk checked, what it could not fix in that desk's own words, and the repair it would take - so a thin sources count, a reading level that missed, or an unverified passage is stated, not hidden behind a green tick. From there you edit the article in place, or ask us: support writes a ticket with a reference and we reply by email, usually within one business day.
What if I exceed my monthly article quota?
+
Generation stops at your allowance, and the check runs before the work is done rather than after - so nothing is silently billed and there is no auto-top-up. From there you buy credits or move up a plan, whichever fits. Your allowance is one monthly pool with no daily cap; what does apply is an hourly ceiling on how many articles a team can start, shared across everyone on it, generous enough that a normal run never meets it.
Can I bring my own niche, voice, and sources?
+
Yes, and it is worth being exact about which parts come with which plan. Tone, reading level, and point of view are preset pickers every plan has, the trial included, alongside the topics you cover and an ignored-domains list so paywalled outlets are never fetched or cited. Authoring your own voice - your standing instructions, your banned words, your audience, and whether the writer may mention your publisher - sits on Growth and Pro, together with Blueprints. One honest limit: voice settings are instructions to the writer rather than switches checked afterward, so a banned word can still slip through.
Which CMS do you support?
+
WordPress.org, WordPress.com, and Ghost, plus export if you don't run a site - and a connection is never required to be useful, since export is the default. Publishing is manual: the pipeline never pushes anything live, you press Publish on an article. Credentials are live-probed before they are stored, and a failed probe stores nothing. Two limits worth knowing: it is one connection per domain, and where WordPress updates the same post in place, Ghost is create-only, so publishing there again posts a new article and leaves the first one up. Export is Markdown and HTML today; WordPress WXR, Ghost JSON, and a whole-account archive are planned, not built. You can also pull your articles from your own code through the read-only v1 API with a key you issue in Settings. Further destinations are listed on the Connectors page and marked Soon - naming them is a stated intent, not a delivery date.
Which languages are supported?
+
Any language, for any country. Articles are written natively in the target language - grammar and idiom that read like a native speaker wrote them, not an English draft run through a translator afterward. Beyond the language itself, the local newsroom register is curated for 11 countries: Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, India, Norway, Switzerland, Canada, and Ireland. Everywhere else the article is written in your language plainly, with no invented local style - we would rather say nothing about local convention than guess at it. The same fact-check gates and named bylines apply whichever language you write in, and two publications on one account can each run in a different one. No plan gates which languages you can write in.
Is content guaranteed to be original?
+
Articles are written from scratch using source material as reference, not copy. Every article passes quality validation before publish. We measure and minimize overlap with existing public content.
Do I own the articles?
+
Yes. Articles publish into your site and belong to you. No royalty, no licensing, no attribution back to Mastheads required.
Who is the author, and is it compliant?
+
Each publication has a named editor of record, and EU AI Act Article 50 disclosure plus source attribution are built in. Articles carry real, named bylines, and GDPR data export and erasure are available on request.
Do you offer Enterprise?
+
Every paid plan already runs multiple sites - Starter up to 3, Growth up to 10, Pro up to 20. Past that, uncapped sites and volume, custom integrations and custom CMS targets are agreed per contract rather than sold as a tier. From 500 articles a month. Email us directly.
What if my niche has slow news days?
+
You set how many articles each section should publish per day. That number is the maximum - the engine fills it as far as real news allows, and on thin-news days it publishes fewer rather than fabricate. So output varies: some days a section is full, some days lighter. If you feel it has materially underdelivered for reasons within our control, contact us and we'll make it right, typically with article credits.
Can I cancel any time?
+
Yes. One click in the billing portal. Article generation stops at the end of your current billing period. Your data is retained for 30 days after cancellation in case you change your mind, per our Privacy Policy - and you can export your full archive at any time.
Can I get my content out?
+
Yes. Every article is available through a read-only API and a one-click export in WordPress, Ghost, Markdown, and HTML formats, with all images. The API needs an active subscription or trial, but your export is always downloadable from your dashboard, including from the cancel screen. Your content is never locked in.
