Autonomous and manual editions

Toggle each edition between autonomous and manual-only - review stays on by default either way.

Every edition runs in one of two modes, and you can switch between them any time.

Two modes, per edition

Autonomous means the newsroom finds and produces stories on its own, inside your topics, your pacing, and your publish window. Manual-only means it writes only what you hand it.

What manual-only still gives you

Manual-only doesn't mean typing articles yourself. Both assignment doors stay open either way - cover a topic and bring your own story work the same whether the edition is autonomous or manual-only. The difference is only whether the newsroom also goes looking for stories on its own between your assignments.

Review-by-default, either way

Autonomous doesn't mean unsupervised. Every article, from either mode, arrives ready for your review before it counts as final - review-by-default applies to both.

Auto-publish is opt-in

If you'd rather skip that review step for stories that clear every gate, auto-publish is available - but it's opt-in, and turning it on records your consent. Nothing publishes on autopilot until you choose that explicitly.

The one hard limit

A draft-only edition can never auto-publish, no matter how the toggle is set. Choose draft-only delivery and every article - autonomous or manual, gated or ungated - lands as a draft for you to move yourself.
