What counts toward your target

The counter only counts delivered articles. If a pick doesn't clear the quality gates, its slot frees itself and the newsroom retries automatically - a rejected draft never costs you progress toward your count.

Duplicate protection

Before a topic can cost you an article, duplicate protection checks it against what's already being written, what's freshly covered, and what's already running, and refuses the repeat.
