Review and approval
Review is the default. See what can hold an article and how to clear it in one click.
Review is the default for every edition. Auto-publish is something you opt into deliberately, with recorded consent - nothing publishes automatically until you've turned it on.
What can hold an article
An article can be held by a quality gate, by claims that failed cross-check against their sources, by not having a fitting image, or by an image rights acknowledgment you haven't given yet.
Clearing a hold
Held articles surface in your dashboard for one-click review: approve, edit, or discard.
Your review, your byline
An AI article you substantively review before publishing is your own editorial work. That's why it carries no AI-transparency label - see /trust for the compliance detail.
Getting the slot back
When a human-verified quality defect is the reason an article gets rejected, the slot returns to you as an article credit that never expires. Preference rejections - you simply didn't like it - don't qualify for a claim-back.
