How an article happens

The staged newsroom every article moves through, from discovery to publish.

Every article - autonomous or commissioned - moves through the same staged pipeline. No stage is skippable, including for us.

Discovery

The newsroom continuously looks for stories worth covering in your sections: your topics, your geography, your moment. If you set a coverage area, it looks there first each cycle. You can watch what it is finding in Trending now.

Sourcing, with a vet

Before a word is written, an AI judge checks every candidate source against the specific story: same event, right date window, real substance. Paywall stubs, multi-story digests, and off-topic pages are rejected. A topic that cannot be properly sourced is dropped, not padded.

Drafting, in your voice

A writer drafts the article in your configured voice, under one of your named bylines - tone, reading level, point of view, and style guide all come from your voice setup.

Independent quality gates

Separate checks cross-check the draft's claims against its sources and enforce format and SEO rules. Any gate can hold the article back for your review - a held article costs you one click to approve, edit, or discard. Nothing ships silently.

An on-topic image is generated or picked, in three render sizes. When nothing fitting can be made or found, the article is held for review rather than shipped with filler.

Delivery

The finished article publishes to your CMS inside your publish window, or lands as a draft if the edition is draft-only. Every delivered article carries an authenticity trace: the sources it used, the checks it passed, the editor of record.
